Getting there

Delft is easily accessible for international and domestic travellers, with well-connected airports and efficient public transport options linking the city to major destinations.

AIRPLANE
Schiphol International Airport is the main airport in The Netherlands. All the well-known airlines are flying from and to Schiphol on a daily base. Transportation from Schiphol Airport to Delft is possible by public transport or the special taxi service called Schiphol Travel Taxi. There is a direct train connection between Schiphol International Airport and Delft railway station (plan your train journey). Travelling time is about 40 minutes; the frequency is 5 times per hour.

Apart from Schiphol International Airport there is the smaller and more Western European orientated Rotterdam The Hague Airport. The airport is approximately a 15-minute drive from the centre of Delft.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Delft is centrally located within the European railway network and is not far from Rotterdam, which has speed train connections to Brussels, Paris or London. The TU Delft Campus is within walking distance of train station Delft Campus. It is also accesible from the central train station, Delft Station, via bus line 69; you should get off at the Delft, TU Aula bus stop.

Plan your trip with 9292, a user-friendly APP that brings information from all public transport companies together.

Parking

The TU Delft Campus is easily accessible by car via the A13, but parking spaces are limited and there is paid parking for visitors.

Please visit the TU Delft website for more information on parking on campus.

P-Aula (P1) provides over 400 parking spaces, accessible via Van der Waalsweg. If P1 is full, you can park at P-Sports (P2), which has around 800 spaces. Navigate to Van den Broekweg 1. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to the Aula.

The parking lots are accessible 24/7. From 08:00 to 18:00, parking on the TU Delft campus is available for a fee. Outside these hours, parking is free of charge.

Accessibility

The Aula is equipped with facilities for people with disabilities. There are three disabled parking spaces in front of the Aula. Vehicles with a 'disabled parking card' displayed behind the windshield may park in the designated areas. Additional disabled parking spaces are available on the side of the Aula (Christiaan Huygensweg).

All floors are accessible via elevators, and all rooms are accessible for individuals with disabilities. The hostess or staff member in the Central Hall will gladly guide you to the appropriate room.

There are two disabled restrooms located in the Aula: one on the ground floor and another on the second floor. In Section D of the Auditorium, an induction loop system is installed. Listeners with a hearing aid or cochlear implant can use the system by setting their device to the T-position.

Building

This unique concrete structure was built between 1958 and 1968 and designed by the architectural firm Van den Broek and Bakema.

The Aula Congress Centre is the main building of Delft University of Technology and is located at the heart of the University campus. The building serves multiple purposes: for education, promotions, and events. It has been classified as a national monument since 2009.
