About ENCORS
In recent years, the topic of research security has gained significant momentum across Europe.
As centres of innovation, European academic institutions are increasingly exposed to foreign interference from state and non-state actors. In response, many are implementing measures to safeguard academic integrity and values. ENCORS aims to establish a dedicated platform to address research security as a practical and intellectual challenge within the daily research process.
CREATING A NETWORK
A group of representatives from multiple European universities has taken the initiative to establish this dedicated platform: the European Network Conference on Research Security (ENCORS).
ENCORS enables relationship building, the discovery of potential collaborations, knowledge sharing, and the gathering of valuable feedback and support from peers.
FOR ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS, BY ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS
The overarching goal of the conference is to gain traction within the European academic sector to meet future security requirements in education and research, from an insider’s perspective.
While the European Commission has developed various initiatives to strengthen research security policies, ENCORS enhances these developments by improving research security practices at the institutional level.
INTERACTIVE FORMAT
ENCORS is a practitioner's conference where peers can share experiences and learn from one another. Alongside engaging plenary keynote speeches and expert presentations, breakout sessions and exhibition space are designed to encourage interaction. Over the course of two days, attendees will find numerous opportunities to connect on a wide range of topics.
ROTATING HOST COUNTRIES
This inaugural edition, proudly hosted by TU Delft in the Netherlands, marks the beginning of an annual event. Future editions will be held in various countries across Europe, further strengthening our effort of collaboration.
